My horse has an allergy to dust so he has been on shavings he is kept in overnight now but the shavings are so wet it's like a swimming pool!! I don't know what to put him on now!! Thanks:p
 
have you any rubber matting down? If you can stretch to getting those, at least the wet drains underneath so the shavings aren't stood in it.
Also, have you put enough shavngs in? I would put in enough to make at least six inch depth.
I'm just trying out some hemp, they say it is more absorbent than shaving so we'll see. If it is, it will work out cheaper and drier.
Also I recycle any waste hay off the floor and put it under the shaving where he pee's, it's very absorbent ;)
Also lots of wee's can be a sign of Cushings?

Yer he has rubber matting I put loads of shavings in a costing allot thanks for the idea of the hay but he has his wet :( and he is kept in for a long time so he does wee allot
 
For wood pellets I pay £6.50 for a 15kg bag. Put about 1 in a week. Direct from dodson and horrell they're £4.00 with free delivery if you spend over £40
