what bit do you ride in?

Berlin - JP loose ring single-joint snaffle.
Kit - Myler short shank combi with triple barrel mouth.
Maiden - loose ring lozenge snaffle.
They all go in those bits for everything, except Kit who is ridden by her owner in a Cambridge mouth kimblewick (she hates it though, hence me using a Myler which she loves).

Dressage and local hacking in a french link snaffle.
Jumping, XC and hacking away from home in a Myler short shank combination.

Schooling and road work - KK ultra snaffle.
Hacking and everything else that involves going faster then a trot - Waterford dutch gag with roundings!

Am currently borrowing a friends French Link Fulmer Snaffle, which he goes really well in

Before that he was in a drop cheek snaffle.
And I don't tend to change bits, he's in the same for pretty much everything

Have tried many things but now generally do everything in a kimberwick as it is easier than arguing. Anything for the lazy life.

Almost everything else I ride is currently in a snaffle (usually eggbutt but we have a few french links) If it starts tanking off we usually try either a pelham or a bubble gag.

Dressage: Nomally full cheek JP snaffle, but occasional swap for Neue schule tranz link loose ring or Nathe loose ring snaffle. I change them occasionally as he gets a bit complacent.

Sjing and XC: Full cheek JP snaffle.

Hacking 98% of time in JP snaffle, but if going out with lots of people/fast work he goes in small ring balding gag with 2 reins, just in case!!
