As above. just generally wondering what people ride in and do you use a different one for jumping etc.

I currently have D in a loose ring french link snaffle for flat work and hacking, though am trying him in a hanging cheek to see if it improves his flatwork and for jumping i use a NS elevator. After trying several bits unsuccessfully (many broken bones) this one does the trick and we can now jump happily and safely.

loose ring snaffle for most things
kk universal for jumping away from home, XC and hacking

I ride my 18hh ISH in a loose ring French link and a continental French link for jumping.

My 16.2hh ID (18 year old) mare is in a loose ring French link all the time.

mullen mouth flexi (happy mouth) eggbutt and cavesson for everything from hacking and dressage (well - as near as we get to it

) to xc/jx and hunting etc

D ring frenchlink myler at the moment... wrapped in latex! Thats for everything... however, got a KK dynamic on trial to see if she will accept a "Normal" dressage legal bit

Neue Schule Team up bit for flatwork. Ihave tried a few other bits but this is the one i re-backed him in and he seems to haev decided anything else is just not on lol!!! he just wont take a contact in any bit except this on.

when i start jumping ill maybe try him ina nathe snaffle or something as i do like to keep a distinction between jumping bit and dressage bit, as i want them to take me to the fence quite firmly, but be much softer on the flat.

My horse...loose-ring revolver snaffle for everything

Young one...hanging cheek snaffle with a lozenge....after several failed bittings he goes really well in this, doesnt seem to squash his tongue.

Mare...pelham for everything- its the only bit she's happy in.

Solo- Cyprium loose ring with a lozenge for flatwork & slow hacking. Balding gag with a french link for fast hacking and anything involving jumps!!!
Red- Hanging cheek french link for flatwork, Kimblewick for anything else!

Loose ring french link for schooling and hacking.

Mullen mouth pelham with roundings (you may shoot me, but it works for us - he hates the pelham with 2 reins!) for hunting and jumping.

Double bridle (with loose ring bradoon and ported weymouth) for showing.

Mullen mouth pelham as it's the only bit he likes. I ride with double reins for flatwork/hacking, and only on the snaffle rein for jumping so I don't get tangled up with 2 reins and a 3ft long mane flying about!!

Corrie wears a French link Dutch gag for hacking and myler hanging cheek for flatwork. I don't jump her (to much of a wimp) but if I did would probably be fine in the hanging cheek.
