Does anyone know what kind of bit this is?

My friend has sent me the photo asking me if I know what it’s called but I don’t and now it’s driving me mad 😂

I tried googling it but can’t find it 😔

F-let baucher? (The letter between H and J has stopped working on my keyboard ... -t comes after the F :-))

Yes the captain sandy bits do seem to have a sliding bar through the middle of a tube mouth piece.

This on seems to have hanging cheeks independent from the loose rings. I can’t really work out the benefit of those above a normal loose ring????

Very frustrating.

That looks like a Swales straight bar snaffle. Quite a strong bit, I've not seen one for decades (thankfully), mostly used in racing.
