hey all me again!!

i recently read a post on his about people should think about getting right bit for their horses...

a little about him.... since before and while iv had him hes been in a D ring copper roller jointed snaffle, works nicely in it but im wondering if he would work better in another bit don't want anything strnger than a snaffle really as hes not a strong horse ussually....

hes a 15.3 thoroughbred, was raced for 1st year in a full cheek snaffle then a loosering for his 3rd year and 4th year.... hes not wore any other bits....

would he be suited better to the lossange ones?

help appreciated :)

or even if you say don't change what works :)

thanks

If he's happy then I would stick with the bit you are using :) The only possible problem is it is not dressage legal so if you were planning on doing some dressage it may be worth investigating some alternative bits.

:O i cant believe that!!.... luckly its just the walk and trot intro A im doing and its not run under BD rules so im ok fo this one!!

any advice on a bit for my next one?

i want one he will still work well in :)

My 'default' bit is a french link/lozenge type snaffle. Have an ask around to see if anyone you know have any spare bits which would fit and have a play with them, no point buying something that she won't go well in. :)

I have a spare 5 1/2 inch single jointed hollowmouth loosering and single joint hanging cheek snaffle if you ever wanted to try them

i tried him in an eggbut french link snaffle he carried his head loverly in the walk and trott!! in canter i couldnt stop had no breaks... so i think may get an eggbut or similar but a jointed one instead on a french link...

thanks guys :)
