there are many u could potentially try! depends on what is most effective on ur particular horse....as for my old horse last year, a double jointed happy mouth dutch gag worked a treat, i could adjust the reins to which ever ring i needed, and it also helps to prevent leaning x
if he doesnt mind poll pressure then a pelham works well or Dutch gag, but ideally both of these should be used with 2 reins 1 top snaffle ring, 1 on a lower ring) or else he is being punished all the time even when you are relaxed and hes being good.
If hes silly with poll pressure (like mine!) then a 'true' (running) gag like a cheltenham gag which comes down through holes in the bit rings top and bottom and into the rein.
