What bit?

I have a new horse currently ridden in a 3 ring gag, on the 3rd ring for hacking and snaffle ring for schooling. however, im finding when hacking im still lacking breaks. and truthfully, i dont like using a gag :/ any ideas on a bit i can try?

a friend suggested using a wilkie snaffle, opinions?

I would look at the myler combination, there are a few so might need to chat with someone in the know as to which one would suit yours the best but I have a friend who has used it on two very strong horses and had fab results.

What exactly does he/she do to evade?
