What body protector do you have?

I can't remember other than it's a short-backed Racesafe one. However I don't ride in it often through my own choice.

I much prefer racesafe, found them to be comfier and they seemed to take my shape a bit after a while. Definitely worth the extra money.

You could always have a look on ebay/gumtree/preloved however I'd be a bit wary and cautious whilst doing so!

I have a racesafe. Originally had a Kan after my fall but found I wasn't wearing it in the last year or so as the plate and muscles in my shoulder have changed. Racesafe us now the most comfy for me. Go and try a few on as different shaped people fit different body protectors.

You're going to need to go out and try some on to find the ones that fit you best.

I drove up to Rideaway and tried about 5 on, ended up with an Airowear Outlyne which was so comfortable I never noticed I was wearing it and was more than happy to put it on.

Go to a shop and have one fitted, that way you will get one that fits you and is comfortable. I have an Airowear Outlyne. It is like wearing concrete in winter when it is cold, however as your body heat warms it up it does get more pliable and far more comfortable. The only time I notice it when I am riding is when my little **** bucks and the cantle of the saddle hits the bottom of the body protector. Guess why I wear a body protector?

Got A Rodney powell ,and in the right circumstances its great ,as with all BP s. The thing is however ,that they only protect you from the minor injurys. The big stuff , the life changing stuff , all bp s fail at. I have ,despite serious misgivings developed a respect for the point 2 system ,yet it must be backed up by a conventional BP.But dont expect any BP to compensate for the shortfall in hat design. Hats are designed to pass a test devised by hat manufacturers so that their hats wont fail the test. Our hats are CRAP!.

What's the point 2 system Mike? Is it an air jacket? Also, what hat do you have?
The older I get the more interested I get in staying in one piece :)
Thanks

What ever fits best :).I had my heart set on Race safe, tried one on & it didn't suit at all. I have a airowear outlyn and once it's warmed up I don't notice it at all :)

I ended up with an Airowear Outlyne as it fitted me best, it's a teenagers one despite me being 24! Outlyne's come in a huge range of sizes so it suited me as I'm tall and slim so need a slim but extra long. Once it's warm I don't notice it, it's lovely and pliable.

Dainese Balios - amazingly comfy and so flexible. Never had a BP as good as it and will never change to another brand now.

It does rather demolish your £100 budget though as they're £230.
