What boots do you all use on your horses for XC?
Those recommending Prolites - Do you find they make your horses legs hot? I've got some NEW ones that I used to use all the time but was going to avoid going forwards as they also have no ventilation.
For me, the utmost importance is fit and weight.
Not especially although I don’t go around with a temperature gauge.
Plus I’m a little sceptical as I think vented boots only really make a difference to the surface temperature (rather than the core tendon, which is the significant thing) - rest is just marketing ?

and tendon guards/protection and if they will retain water.
So many I won't use as too stiff, slip, not enough protection or too long/short.
Ooh i looked at these years ago!I got some Majyk Equipe Elite XC boots for the super-pony and they seem really good. They're light, they don't slip, they're nice and soft and have an ability to go hard on impact. Strange newfangled technology, but seems to work!

What's their sizing like? I have a 14.1 connie type
I did just read on their website that these boots shouldn't be used for horses under 14.3 so i panicked!!I ended up buying small fronts and backs for our 14.1 welshy but he is a very slim, sporty type. The small is plenty long enough, so I guess that's a good size gauge.

Has anyone use the equilibrium tri zone all sports boots?
