As with all breeds, there are types. My daemon isn't very highlandy (more so now he's mature, but he's not remotely like your little one), but Fergus is very text book highland. DryRot's highlands are lighter riding types, not remotely like the show ring variety, or the deer stalking type.

I've just seen a lovely 6 year old dun Connemara for sale, full green book. It's 16h lol.

Have to say one day I'd like to own a highland, but I also have a hankering for a corgi. Maybe I'm just royalty

i know there are different types within breed for sure, i think not having mane makes her even less typey but its fun to hear what others think on first glance.

I would not have thought Higland! I was thinking ID crossed with something heavy. Beautiful girl.

I'd never have guessed highland just from that first picture, she looks so tall! But she certainly is a smashing pony.
