Hello all!
I was wondering if any of you would happen to be breed specialists who could give me an idea of the cross of my horse. She is 15HH, 6 years at present and has a lovely genuine temperament with quick, skittish paces. Previous estimations have ranged from Welsh mountain cross (with what though?) to purebred Welsh cob to 3/4 thoroughbred with cob. I would greatly appreciate your views as it will help me know what to expect and how to protect her adequately.
Thank you!:)

I am not very good at breeds but own a Welsh Sect D and a Sect D / Thoroughbred cross and your's doesn't resemble either of mine in conformation or the shape of her head. When people say Welsh do they mean a cob or a welsh Sect B which is a much finer more dainty animal altogether but is quite small?

looks quite connemara like to me. Her head looks a little heavier though and does look alot like an Irish draft head although I would have thought if there were irish draft she would be a little heavier set than she is. I wonder if she is connemara x cob?

Looks very similar to my friends trotter x connie. There is a grey trotter stallion called Nito or Niko that throws stock very much like your mare.. The trotter blood could also explain the "skittish" paces.

I agree with eventer28 she looks like a trotter and she has a low set tail so would be anything welsh/arab new forrest would also perhaps be in the mix
