What breed do you think this mare is and what do you think of her confirmation? Thank you.

If she was mine I would be more concerned about the pointing nr fore than her breed. She does not look very comfortable in her stance.

She has some quality to her, Selle Francias ?

Looks like she is/was a polo pony so it's likely she's a full TB or TBx. She sort of has the Argentinian Criollo look about her but with those long pasterns and as you're in the UK, she's more likely a TB.

She looks like a thoroughbred to me.
Conformation is not great but if she has heart she'll make up for it. Is she a polo pony?

I don't think you can tell much from the possible pointing in the first photo. There is no evidence in the other two pics... she might just be adjusting her weight. You need to see how she prefers to stand over time imho.

ps. Having said that I do agree her stance overall doesn't look quite right.

Also, breeds are not my strength but I do think Crillo or other Polo breed is a good suggestion. Failing that some TB or CB in there.

Thanks everyone for your interesting replies, she was actually fit and well back then at the age of 7 and went on to play 2 years of top level polo. She's now coming back to us after her owner has decided to retire from Polo ..

Shes now 9 years old and a Thoroughbred x Argentine Polo Pony :-)

Some excellent guesses :-)
