What breed of dog.......

We had collies when I was growing up (rough collie then a BC) and one springer spaniel...

I knew I didn't want a collie as a result

I really really wanted a wiemaraner or a saluki - but OH didn't, he wanted a terrier - so we compromised and got a black lab, which seemed better suited to what we actually wanted

spent the last 22 years with at least one boxer at my side! I compete in obediece, agility and breed with them.

would adore a field spaniel or a cocker tho as I want to do gun dog training with something that can compete - I get laughed at taking boxers along atm!
 
Always wanted an Australian Cattle Dog since I went on a Lucinda Green Clinic years ago and she had one with her a little red dog, who was great.

So years later I went in search of one and rescued 2! Love ‘em.
 
Wasn't raised with any dogs, but was v.fond of my grans two labs. Got our first family dog in March this year (I'm 19 now), black lab. Got him by accident really, picked up as a stray and no-one has come forward for him so now he's ours! Wouldn't swap him though!
 
Was brought up around working labs but always wanted a siberian my dream dog lol met OH who wanted a wiem and we where all set to get one until we took a chance and went to see a litter of siberian puppies we`d done a good bit of research on both breeds and when we saw the sibes we knew that was it and Cyrus came home with us and Diablo joining us a year later
When we first had Cyrus we went along to rallies to see about the working side was all about and made some good friends who introduced us to the Alaskan Malamute we now own a 1 year old bitch along with the two sibes

we`ve both admitted we will never be without a malamute in our lives now, we love sibes and our boys more than anything but the malamute is the breed for us
 
i've had various lab mixes including a springador.
a nova scotian duck tolling retriever, and at the moment i have a black lab and a great dane.
always loved labs, tho the chocolates are my fave colour. never had 1.
never thought about a great dane until i ended up looking after a friends pup and through bad circumstances with her family she gave me the pup to keep.
i'm now smitten with breed. tho having a 10 stone pup sitting on you does hurt, or if she stands on your toe.

English pointer. Theres a working kennel a stone throw from where we live and i always walked past and wanted to take them home.

My boy is 9 months old now and i'm delighted with him. Altho he is a velcro dog, wants to be right beside me all the time.

They are the sweetest dogs ever.
 
Ive always wanted a golden retriever
weve got a medium sized dog that could be a staffy x ? and two border collies.
Im happy with the collies they are good fun, dead easy to train and will run round the field all day.
 
i never had dogs when i was younger but have two whippets...wouldnt have any other breed, but have seen a lovely black great dane near where i live and hes gorgeous
 
I was brought up with Collies but have had rescued boxers and pekinesse (not sure on spelling) wanted to rescue a Rotti. now have a fab Rotti who is a big hearted softy! wouldn't change in the world...

its not the breed - its the owners that make a dog.
