There's no correct answer to this post. His breeding's unknown or a least unproven. He's my new boy and fingers crossed arrives in 3 weeks. My friend's keep asking what he's like and I'm not sure how to describe him, except to say he's quite 'chunky' and I think he's lovely!!

wow hes a beautiful boy! lovely markings. God knows on breeding though... His heads the same shape as my new forests, but then so are many breeds!

I'm glad you like him.

My vet said poss Connemara x or even poss Shire x because of his leg markings.

His passport (issued by sellers vet a year or so ago) says Belgium Warmblood which I can't see at all and MY vet says 'no way'.

Would anyone say he's a 'lightweight cob' type or does he not have enough bone for that description ?

In dealer land he would be called 'a nice half legged cob' meaning TB type x Cob/shire type. Enjoy him I bet he would like xcountry or hunting! He's just what everybody wants and can never find

I couldn't believe my luck when I found him. I hadn't seen a picture of him or anything. I only checked him out because I was already seeing another horse in the area and as it was a 3 hour drive I thought I should try to see more than one horse to make the journey worthwhile. Both horses I saw that day were lovely and exactly as described but he was my favourite of the two.

I would go with a Connie. On our yard of 7, 5 are connies ranging from 14hh to 15.3 and he fits the bill perfectly.
Perhaps he is not a Purebred, but i can't see the belgian warmblood in him. Could be a connie crossed with something else native?

I'm gonna say he's Connie X cos that's what I wanted. Yes, I'm smiling a lot, which is because I'd lost a bit of confidence on my last horse and I felt it all come flooding back when I was riding this fella. He's just felt fun, maybe a bit cheeky but basically safe. He arrives in about 3 weeks. I just hope he's as nice as he seemed when I tried him.
