Yay, Puppies!!! Get a whippet - they are the best dogs (IMHO!

)

1)They are short haired and hardly moult at all
2) They never slobber or drool (well maybe a tiny tiny bit of drool if you are eatin something delicious and not sharing)
3) They are fine outside and love as much exercise as you can give them although they might need a coat in winter. Mine are happy, hardy yard dogs
4) They are great with other dogs
5) They are pretty good at not chasing things like chickens if they have been raised in an environment where there were cats/children/chickens about. Mine do not chase the chickens at the yard. They are also suitably cautious around horses and would never chase them
6) They are never ever violent with children/dogs etc in fact they are very very gentle... although they might be rather violent with rabbits as this is their natural prey.
7) They LOVE cuddles and kisses and being treated like little babies but will also charge about like lunatics on walks and around the place.

I think you are asking for trouble posting this question tho cos everyone will just recomemend the breed they have because most people love their own dog best

I think ur right! Altho I've come up with the perfect solution - I'll have a farm full of dogs then I can have all them!

ooo puppies! I want a puppy, but mum says no! I've got a scottie dog and love her to bits, she thinks she is a cat and spends most of the day asleep. Not the most trainable of dogs tho!

hi hadleigh, one of mine is a rottie & I agree they are lovely dogs. She is friendly, loves attention and cuddles - yes Jess still likes to try and sit on my lap as well! Jess is 2 1/2 yrs, never had any probs with agression towards people or dogs (or cats!)

They do need training and firm handling from an early age as they are big strong dogs, but they really are awesome dogs.
