I knew a lovely Pure D. And she looks more pure than him in build. So I agree with Lisa on the fact that she may not be a cross.

Yeah, i thought she might be full sec d, but she looks nothing like most the the welsh d's i know! Its just her face isnt very welsh .. and her legs are pretty fine!

She could just be a Welsh Sec D but she hasn't got a particularly dishy shape which is a definate trate of the welsh! Take it she didn't come with any papers / Welsh Registered?

She's a bit like one of mine, except mine has more of the Trotter and less Welsh!!!

I'd say Welsh D x Trotter (Standardbred)

She looks exactly like my Welsh D. If you painted a stipe on her face they would be almost identical. She could be pure welsh but just on the lighter side of the breed.

A welsh cob doesnt need to have a dished face thats more for the sec a's and c's however a lot of d's do have the dished face. Mine in the sigi is a pure welsh and there is nothing dished about his face.

The other thing is how does she look more pure bred than your friends reg d? If you stand and watch a sec d class at your local agricultural show you will think its a heinz 57 class there are so so many different types.
I'd say definately sec d and probably not crossed with anything at all.
