What breed would you say this pony and showing question?

He's lovely.

Similar build to Oliver and he has done well in Working Hunter classes....although he's only been to a few shows.

Ollie is definitely too chunky for the show pony classes. I suspect your lad will be too.

As others have said, they need papers for M&M classes, but I think at very low level local shows people often turn a blind eye.

connemara in there I would say - but not pure.

Without being registered you can't do part bred m & m except at some smaller local shows.

SHP classes and working hunter - not a riding pony.

Nice looking eye catching pony

Thanks for your help guys.

If he is a dun (can't see if has a true dorsal stripe from pic??),then he won't be pure welsh or pure connemara, the dun gene is not present in either of these breeds.
Can get buckskins in the welsh and connies though,so if he doesn't have dorsal stripe, then is possible he could be a welsh or connie, and buckskin obviously lol.

Afraid I have no idea what he could be other than that though, but thought dun/buckskin info might rule some things out for you.

He's lovely anyway, good luck with him.
