We used to have a fantastic little dog called Jess, who died of old age 9 years ago now.
I always believed her to be a Springer x Border Collie, due to her typical Border Collie colouring and long ears, but now think she was possibly a Cocker x BC.
This photo isn't the best as the flash reflected, but you get the gist from her head and size with son who was about 10 at the time
Can Cockers have BC colouring? She had feathery legs and tail, but was relatively thin coated, although it was reasonably long.
