Hello all!!

Just an odd question - I want to show Gypsy, but I cant properly as although shes got cob in her because of her colours shes not big enough - standing at 13hh. So what do u all think shes got in her? Im not actully 100% sure because shes a skewbald with the colours - but shes quite small boned for a cob and her head is really small aswell. In the winter she does have feathers but not alot - not as much as full cobs have.

Any ideas? This is probably a really odd question lol.

Oh and also what showing classes do u think I would be able to show her in?

Also - what shows could Ronnie go into? Hes a chunky Irish Cob Piebald 15.1

Sorry if pictures are big lol ..

She is very pretty and I think she would do well in coloured classes, think you would have to grow her mane a bit for that as opposed to being hogged.

Ronnie looks lovely too but hard to see him from that piccy

Yeah - well she suffers from sweet itch and rubs and rubs so much when she has a mane thats the only downer! lol She can grow a mane - took me about a year i think to grow it really nicely - then she just took chunks of it out. Although I use all sorts on her to try and get the sweet itch to stop lol xx

This is what my youngster looks like, his mum was a full TB and his dad was a middle weight traditional coloured cob.

So I guess it depends where your colour has come from, probably a parent would have been a small traddy coloured cob, and what about a cross with a welsh section a, b, or c to get the finer appearance and small height? Looking at her pointy devil type ears, she reminds me of a welshs ears. You will be able to show her in coloured classes no problem. You will just have to turn her out as a non-native type and plait and trim her up! She's got a beautiful head on her, looks very genuine little mare, a credit to you xx

Ive been told that she looks like she has some welsh in her - If she does I wish she would grow a mane like a welshie lol! x
