What bridle for youngster?

Hi, I will be getting my big lad backed in may and am wanting to get him a nice comfortable bridle to start with.
I have looked at both the micklem multibridle and the ecorider ecolux bridle? Does anyone have any experience of the two?
the only thing that puts me off the micklem is the noseband strap underneath the bit as I’m not sure how keen I am on that for a baby? Any recommendations also welcome! Would need to be full/ possibly extra full sizes as he’s 2 and a half and 16.3hh!

I have used the micklem multi bridle for Mim from the start. She is really happy in it. The noseband has never been an issue but I do keep it loose. I’ve found it really useful to switch between the bitless and bitted version, and I lunge in it. She is in a French link full cheek snaffle.
 
Hi, that’s really helpful thank you! I personally would want to do it up loose too but they always appear tight in photos so I wasn’t sure it was long enough to do loose. I’m really attracted to the bitless option with it too!
 
I would keep it simple. To start with, I would ditch any mouth closing device, I am another who would rather have a head collar underneath so no noseband at all is best. I wouldn't go for an expensive one either, babies are notorious for chewing reins!

Thank you for that! I was specifically looking for something that wouldn’t interfere with his nasal notch for this reason and didn’t realise that micklems would!

It is not meant to keep it closed. I use one on mine and the nose band sits where a cavesson sits and the chin strap is on very lose. I believe they designed it that way as horses preferred it there rather then between the bit and the chin but I might be remembering that wrong.

No I don’t want anything on him that with close his mouth so think I might possibly leave the micklem whilst he’s young. He’s been bitted and bridled previously and harshly so am just wanting something comfortable for him to give him a good experience this time around
 
Id be more inclined to keep ir really chesp and simple. Having had a couple of nice bridles destroyed by youngsters. A headpiece browband and bit is all you need
