What bridle

I'm taking my yearling to a small local in hand show, in a couple of weeks, I dont want to put a bit in his mouth just yet so what should i put on him, a showing halter or just a nice leather headcollar? Also taking my pony to the same show should I just put a normal bridle on her or do i need to get an in hand one? Not really sure of the difference as they look the same if you take the reins off dont they?

If the pony is of ridden age then a ridden bridle.

Yearling can have a plain inhand bridle with no bit. That may depend on the shows rules though - is he cut?

Yeah he is cut it doesnt seem to have any rules on dresscode on the schedule its all very low key so not really sure what to do
