I will be having a bridle made for my Iberian this year and am looking for inspiration. It will be a competition and every day bridle so nothing too elaborate but there are so many styles out there....
It will be an English type of bridle, nothing too fancy. Having one made because he has an odd shaped head, needs and extra full browband and noseband, full size headpiece and cob sized cheeks. I could go for an albion or sabre but can get one made for a similar price and get exactly what I want just haven't yet settled on types of buckles, thickness of noseband, padding, stitching etc... Too much to think about. Lol
Mines just in a plain sabre hunter style in cob size but with full size nose band and flash attatched although considering going bitless and treeless with her in spring
was playing about trying to find something to fit my 2 year old andalucian, she has a tiny head (pony size headcollar miles to big on nose) but interestingly I tried my new schedule bit from my 15.2 wc cross on to see what size I would need in there pony range and I don't the 5 1/4 fits, so she must have a narrow nose and big mouth!!
well you said you would like pictures, he's now wearing a micklem, this is a Barnsby. He isn't technically an Iberian but he has a luso grandfather & is a complete throwback, Both bridles are generous in the browband and headpiece;
Found this interesting as my part luso stallion is in a micklem and the mare in a GFS, I also have a bridle I got in portugal (traditional type with the big buckles) and this fits him great, I used his bridle on his mum last week and the noseband was a little tight!
