Was really hoping to get myself a nice little digital camera for the events and was wondering what the general preference is?
My dad's samsung runs on AA batteries and drives me scatty - does anyone have a camera they would reccomend that is good for taking pictures of the horses jumping?
Thanks!

I have a Sony SLR camera that I love - its a brilliant camera - but it depends if you want a great big lump of camera that you have to lug around with you. I also have a little dinky Sony digital - around 7 m.pixels - which is a great camera.

A friend of mine has just brought a Canon digital (not SLR) for around the £300 mark - and it is a cracking camera - amazing zoom

Its dead easy to use - and I have seen some really really lovely pics taken with it. Its not a really tiny camera - but is small and light enough to stick in a jacket pocket.

SLR's are great - but you will be spending more money than a standard super zoom digital. Go and speak to a camera specialist shop for more ideas - they have all the information - and you don't have to buy from them!!! (they are usually more expensive!!!)

Olympus SP-550UZ. Simple to use, fantastic lenses, and has a feature where it takes up to 15 shots in 3 seconds - brilliant as you can click as the horse takes off and follow it over the fence!
