So I've had this horse on my livery yard be abandoned by his owner, she's a year behind on her bill and for the last 5 months has been completely ignoring any attempts to contact her. I'd like to claim the horse or at least impound him...is this possible and what is the process. I've had a Google but does anyone have experience with this.

I would repost this in the tack room section and you will then get responses. There are people on here who have been in the same situation and know the correct procedure of issuing an abandonment notice. Good luck.

Thank you, this is so helpful!
It must be the season for it, there was one on another forum.
Fly grazing horses
Fly grazing horses are those that have been deliberately allowed to graze on land without the occupier’s permission.
This includes horses belonging to owners who had been given permission to keep their horse(s) there at first, but the agreement with the landowner has come to an end
