Hope the dog warden can finally make him see sense. My worry would be if you drive it out of the area the dog will spend the rest of its life in kennels or be pts, with so many dogs looking for homes a 12 yr old is not going to find it easy to get a new home

i know he is lovely too he deserves so much more but i can't help thinking he is going to get hit on that road one day and i do worry he will be injured and starve to death under a hedge somewhere i will ask the vet how much on monday then at least he'll still have his routine and be in his own home
seems thats maybe the best idea
