I know we're all here to give advice and poke fun at each other (in in some instances I've seen, completely slag people off!) but wouldn't it be useful to have a Glossary of who can answer what?! :D I need amusing - anything not to write my 20,000 word essay!!

Off the top of my head, I'm abmissal at:

Bandaging (any i do looks like i'm creating a Mummy)
Lunging(I get bored after the first lap and have no idea what I'm doing)
Looking Up (the floor is absolutely fascinating, believe it or not. . . )
Dressage (I forget what i'm doing and where - it would be immensley useful to me if there was a Sat Nav Version)

I'm another avid floor-watcher.....!!
I can't;
School a difficult horse- I get bored of trying to get results! :o
Groom a muddy or moulting horse- allergies render me incapable!
Do sitting trot without looking like a sack of particularly bouncy spuds - with the exception of one horse, who could actually make a sack of particularly bouncy spuds look presentable!
Keep my reins the right length
Keep my heels down!!!!!!!!
Time keep when I'm out hacking...... - I usually return 3 hours later than planned :o:o
Stop examining other horses' feet after having a broken pony for so long!! - although she is getting better slowly! :D:D:D:D
:p
K x

I'm also trying to avoid an essay!!!!!

Jump: I never have, but might be getting forced into it in a few weeks!
Look up: Like the OP, I'm too busy looking into hedges, looking at the floor, looking at my feet :o

keep my reins relatively even one always seems to escape especially when im jumping
accept that a 12ft canter stride isnt too fast scary and still feels huuuuge
half pass my left leg just wont do as its told :p

i am, however, very good at chickening out of "big" fences

Keep my stirrups on the ball of my feet when going faster than a walk (bad in trot, worse in canter) - no matter what length my stirrups or much I try to relax my leg and keep my heels down they just go through.

Oh gosh yes - I too:

Wild Lower Leg (stirrups won't stay on balls of feet, I seem to have Wannabe Whitaker Leg over fences, and toes also like to look ddoowwnnn)

Apart from that, my riding is Top Hole. . . :D Hahahah!!! :D

Oh - I'm a non-plaiter too. They fall out. Tails and mane. Hopeless.

Canter in a circle ..... end up going diagonally across the school, I know it's me but I can't work out what I'm doing wrong

There are loads of other things but would be here all night, thanks for cheering me up this post made me smile xx

Schooling I get bored after a while and generally just end up cantering round in circles quite happily!
Keeping my shoulders back Although I've been riding since I was 8 and only did 6 months work experience in racing-I still hunch forward slightly when I ride.

I can't stop tilting my pelvis forward pa!
On the less technical front my plaiting needs quite a bit of practice
I also have trouble keeping reins to the same length in canter
I can't get the guts to go for a good canter through a nice field on a hack

I am another person who resembles a bouncy sack of spuds when attempting sitting trot, can't for the life of me improve on this matter!
I can't legally drive a lorry or tow a trailer - which sucks.
There are many more 'can't do's ' for sure, too many to mention I think!!

Can't look up, Bruces' ears are just fascinating...
Carry buckets of water, without 95% under up down my wellies...
Resist the urge to make Bruce as bald as possible...
Control my right shoulder, it does daft wonky things in lateral work...

And a good one, I can't stay mad at Bruce - no matter how much of a toad he can be :)

sweep a shavings stable tidy, I can keep it clean but can never sweep it all so it looks tidy!

relax my shoulders

school easily, my lower legs are as weak as american tea

Shave the winter beard off my horses face. there are alyways chopped off chunks.

Not brush a manei can't stand having a knotty mane while riding

Worm I generally end up with yellow paste all over my face and clothes. And all over my horse's face. At least we come out colorful!! :D

keep my leg still my lower leg flaps about in trot too! only in this pony really as i cant use ANY leg so cant wrap it round.
but on other horses i just wrap them round and they tend to stay still (someone asked earlier)
plaiting tails (and manes) i can do both but i really dont like it! and my tails look awful!!

I can't plait manes......Tails are a doddle generally but manes, not a chance!

I can't jump (well, I can but I won't.....I HATE it, I have no balls when it comes to fences!)

I can't pull a mane straight however I can pull a tail perfectly.

I can't stay annoyed at either of my beloved boys no matter what they've done.

I cannot jump. I hate jumping. I haven't jumped in years, and you know what I am happy without jumping!! :D
I cannot tail plait for the life of me!
And I CONSTANTLY see lovely shiny objects stuck to the floor, why would I want to look up when the floor is so inviting! :D

It's not that I can't do anything, it's that I just don't want to! Haha! I don't want to school my horse, plait her mane or tail, have awful metal things nailed into her amazingly complicated feet etc.

Oh and I can't give up riding dispite being nearly 7 months pregnant and suffering with terrible pelvic pain! Lol

I can't bandage either! Even my tail bandages look awful, and I can't plait for the life of me! I'm all fingers and thumbs! It's so embaressing :D

Hmm, there's lots I can't do :o

Ride when anyone is watching We get on great when im the only person in the school!
Again I cant find fault with my lickle baby buzz lol

Starsnrunes: lots of boots have a stirrup stop on their sole now - it helps prevent the foot slipping too far through. They're not a cure all as heels still need to be kept down, but I've found my foot hasn't got as far before I'm readjusting.

I can't:
Jump higher than 80cm... yet! My confidence is growing and I'm getting there.
Be 100% sure which diagonal I'm on without looking down but at least when I usually strike up on the right one 9 times out of 10.
Keep my shoulders back however I'm working hard and they're spending significantly more time correctly rolled back than they ever did before!
Do lateral work I haven't been taught any, and can't wait to get moving on with the more difficult schooling techiniques!

There's many more, but those are my main bug bears!
