what car do we all have?

I have a Toyota RAV-4 and I love it! My friend has an identical one (3-door) and intends to tow one horse with it, she was told by the Toyota people that she can but TBH I think not only will it die a miserable death (and possibly the trailer and horse too

) but it will use half the petrol tank just pulling away

They are not cheap for petrol and tax, but they very rarely go wrong (*touch wood* as I have no luck at the moment!)
 
i have got a renault megane coupe. Cant tow with it but have use of friends lorry most times i want to go out.

not to good on petrol either but it looks good and is yellow

I have a Suzuki Grand Vitara new model. I tow one horse at a time with a ifor 505 classic which it copes with just fine. I have towed two horses but i wouldnt recommend it. Its a big move up for me as my last car was a MX5 - i had to take the roof down to fit a bale of shavings in, this is not a good look especially if you dont like being pointed and laughed at.
 
I have a 2litre primera estate petrol and it tows 1 horse fabulously(certainly wouldnt tow 2)however it is thirsty at the best of times

,my friend used it and said wasnt too bad but she was used to using a terrano which is a tad less to the gallon than mine!!
 
I have a frontera - bought unseen off ebay for a absolute bargin!!!! its a 2.2 ltr diesel and can manage my 505 and my girl but I woudln't like to try with two in there. It might be OK though. Pain in the as to commute to work in through - costs me 100 euro a week in diesel!!!!!
 
BMW Mini One is meant to be really economical - wouldn't tug a box though eh! I got a 3lt V6 Shogun, would pull a tank if it had to - works well with an ifor 505 carrying 2 big boys!
 
I've got a little 1.2ltr petrol Clio. I love it to bits but obviously can't tow with it. I'm crossing my fingers that one day soon I'll be able to afford a trailer & something to tow it with.
 
Mercedes 190E 2.6 with bodykit - in sort of 'pink' (almandite red apparently). Its about an inch off the ground, but its 20 years old and I wouldn't get anything anywhere near as nice for the 1k I would get if sold it!
 
I have an old Toyota Landcruiser and I love it!
I can take 7 people, can get loads of shavings and feed in the back, it tows my Ifor 510 with no problems, but despite its age is still quite nippy on the motorway.

Sprout I want that car!!! I have a Ford Explorer which I love 'cos it's huge with loads of room for all the dogs, feed and shavings and stuff and tows like a dream. But I'd still swap it for a Landcruiser but I want the Amazon.
 
I have a frontera 2.2 petrol.It tow's fine with two big horses. And pull's my friends transit van out of the mud when he get's stuck!!

I can get 10 bales of shavings in it if i stack them propley and loads of feed.
Cost a lot to run but i love the car.

I have an audi a3 2.0TDi to drive around in when i'm not towing - not very economical at all but a nice car! When I want to pull the horse I swap cars with my parents!! They have a Jeep Grand Cherokee - tows my 510 and two big horses really well. Fantastic towing car but not cheap to run!!
 
I have a Toyota Mr2 Gt 2.0ltr which i love to bits but i can just about get two bags of horse feed in the boot and i have never attempted to get any hay etc in there as of yet! lol
 
I have a citroen C4 2.0ltr diesel, no idea if I could tow with it (no trailer), but I love the car it's got sports seats and can really go!! I can also get over 600miles out of a tank

when we towed we had a mercedes ML270 CDI. pulled 2 big horses up welsh mountains with never a hint of a problem, we never had to be towed on or off a field even when the field was knee deep in mud.

Now we have a horsebox and i have a mercedes A class 1.8 litre diesel, very very economical and very good for fitting bags of shavings in!
 
I have a skoda fabia (*hides from the laughing*) but I love it. It's a 1.9 TDI and whilst I'm sure old skodas deserved their reputation I've had mine four years and never had a major problem. Goes fast but doesn't tow - not an issue though as I have horsebox and couldn't tow if I wanted to as no licence to.

It's only 1.6, so useless to tow with, but it wasn't bought to tow..... We've taken the back seats out, so there's masses of room for the dog box, harness, tack, rugs, feed buckets etc., etc., etc.

The other reason we have one of these is it's so easy to get in and out of. OH has a back problem and finds getting up into a car easier than getting down into one, and the driving position is brill. Plus it's realtively inexpensive to run.

I have an Audi A3 sportback (5 door version) which is too small to get more than 2 bags of Hi Fi in it, or the pushchair and dog, so obviously it is so much more sense for me to have OHs car (E class merc) & he have mine, but he is unconvinced, I have a Lorry so don't need to tow, (thankfully as I'm not taking any more tests, my HGV was enough to last me a life time!)
 
Toyota Landcruiser and I used to tow two big horses in an Ifor Williams all over the country.
Best towing car you can get but very thirsty on fuel.
 
I have a Toyota Yaris 1.4 Diesel. 500mls to the tank. £35 road tax. So cheap to run.

I used to have a landrover Freelander which I had intended to use to tow but it was so expensive to run around town that I'm actually better off with my small car and my small 3.5ton horsebox instead
 
Car: some sort of convertible small thing, I would have to go and look to see what sort it is. Hubby's Birthday present to himself as it is more fuel efficient than the truck for commuting. Couldn't tow a wheelbarrow with it

Both petrol.

Fortunately fuel is still relatively cheap still.
