What car do you all drive???

A super charged estate, a wolf in sheep's clothing, Mitsubishi Legnum VR-4, 300 hundred horse power, 0-60 in around 6 seconds. Little woman syndrome ;-)

Honda CRV. Love it but it's not all that economical. Easily pleased, I was thrilled that the boot floor became a picnic table !

A Jaguar and an Izusu trooper - Got to the age where we prefer comfort over cheapness and don't do too many miles these days anyway!!

I've got a new ford fiesta (road tax is £20 a year!! :D ) good mpg, it's a diesel and I've got a Peugeot 106 (me and hubby swap between them, the fiesta is better economically)

dartmoor you say...

this was exmoor (and LizzieJ driving ;) ) and nothing on the ice we survived the night before.. no damage it- just a dent that popped out on the way back to normal flat somerset :p has been very good at self-repair apart from the french electrics :p

On my 3rd vauxhall corsa. Good on fuel as diesels and cheap to tax and insure etc. My only groan is that can't pull a trailer so am on the lookout for something bigger at mo

Just swapped my BMW 330 convertible for a BMW X3 for the winter (we swap cars every six months, so tend to do "topless" in the summer and "4x4" in winter).

I also have an L reg Ford Escort for ferrying the dogs around - it's brilliant in the snow (unlike the BMW) and very reliable despite its age. Goes through the MOT with hardly any work each year.

Currently have a Dodge Nitro which has got to go as we need 7 seats with 3 growing kids. As it has to tow as well it looks like a Disco 3 is next on the shopping list. Has to be black though to match the trailer!!!

Both I & hubby have Audi A3's! Mine is the 1.9ltr TDI & his is 2.0ltr TDI sport. His is so much more fun than mine but mine is more comfy & only £30 road tax for the year! Both handle brilliantly as you'd expect from an Audi, love them!

Volvo XC 70 and a corsa. Corsa is great, cheap to run, tax etc biggish boot for a small car, bit underpowered tho, its the ecoflex one. Volvo is great in snow, mud etc spacious and very comfy but expensive to run, tax etc. Tend to use Volvo for long trips or in terrible weather or when the kids are all home, and Corsa for everything else. With 4 grown-up kids in the Corsa, you almost have to get out and push it up hills! Still love it tho.

Ford Focus 1.6 Diesel - only £35 a year on tax, very cheap to repair (not needed repairing yet) and good insurance bracket. The only thing with the 1.6 diesel engine is that it isn't great for short journeys (turbo may go).

Apparently one of the fiestas (1.6 diesel perhaps) has free tax!!

I've got a peugoet 206, fab little car! Not too big but plenty of room in the boot. I can fit 4 or 5 bales of shavings in it if. Out the back seats down :)
My dads go the new vw golf that I think would be really good for me to 'borrow' as there's lots of room to dump my horse stuff & fit lots in the boots ;)

I have been looking in to this a lot recently as I am planning on trading in my Shogun in he next month or so as it is getting so expensive to run. I decided the Peugeot 207 was the best option. The 1.4 Diesel version is really cheap on tax (£30 a year) and the mpg was very good. I had one 5 or 6 years ago and generally they seem quite reliable cars.

I have a Golf station Wagon, the blue motion model which is supposed to do around 70 mpg,but i have to say i am very disappointed as it gives nothing like that, and i am very careful driving as need to be economical as i only get 11p per mile for work mileage.I had the sportline version before my latest model which had all the power and still gave a reasonable MPG.

I drive my OH Citroen c1 small and efficient, it had rapidly decreased our fuel costs and we fitted four people plus back on a ski weekend the other day and regularly drives round Aberdeen in the snow and between Scotland and the Lakes . Plus if it's just the two of us we put the back seats down to increase the boot size ... I can fit my bike in the back without taking the wheel off!

A very unexciting Ford Mondeo 2.0 turbo diesel! Not my car of choice but it is a good car nonetheless, inherited from my sister and just had to pay for its repairs which were £1k to do after a wrote off my lovely old Peugeot 306 :(

If I had a little bit of decent money for a car I would love a mini cooper

I have a nissan qashqai as my 4x4 which i adore, really great car. I also have a c2 as my commuting car its the vtr as pretty quick off the mark! I also drive my partners focus but im not a fan tbh.

now have a Nissan Micra. Cheap to run & keep! Great for getting me round the rural roads in Norfolk, including very wet muddy tracks. I am sure it thinks it is a 4x4 :)

^^^This :D

I love my wee micra - it takes so much hammer, is always full of crap, dogs, kids, food etc, and apart from a little hiccup this summer, has never let me down in 3 years - brilliant tiny ugly beast of a car :D

VW Polo 2001 plate and still going strong!! Got the 5 door and for a small car manages to hold loads of feed/wood chips when he dies I will replace with another VW : )

Hond crv, diesel. Does about 30mpg, so costs similar to family saloon to run. Has 4wd, which only kicks in when needed. Tows one horse and an ifor adequately. Used to have a lovely little smart roadster for work, £30 of fuel lasted 2 weeks, but it leaked something terrible, so sold that at end of the so called summer and just drive the Honda now.

Cream Mini Cooper... Love it to bits. Not too expensive to run but any issues with the car can be expensive to fix... But it fits all my rubbish in... And now a Labrador in the passenger footwell :-)

My own truck Defender 90 with all the toys because you never know when you might need a winch or snorkel:D:D

Company Car Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian classed as Comercial so Cheap Tax;);)
