What Clip For My Pony??

Getting my pony clipped next week and i need some idea of what to get... not experienced with clips atall :S

she does about 1hr every other day, either schooling or hacking - competing, (showjumping) or hunting at the weekends, does get very sweaty up her neck and belly.

Is she being turned out at all? depending on your rugs - if you have a neck on won't really matter.

I'd go for a high trace or a blanket.

ditto- high trace or blanket. You could also leave the back legs unclipped with either of these

Is she very hairy? Living in/out?

There's nothing that looks more odd than a clipped pony with 2" of fuzzy thigh boots and blanket.
Personally, especially with the welshies, I whip everything off with the first clip, then either re-do next time as a trace/blanket or keep it off, depends on individual workload/pony/maintenance blah, blah, blah.

For yours, being pc, blanket or high trace. The good thing about hair is if you don't get it right it grows back.

You can always take more off, but can't put hair back on once you've taken it off. So why not start with a belly and neck clip - see how you go for a few days and if it's not enough then turn it into a trace clip - if still not enough then a blanket clip.
