thoughts please :)

My mare is a medium weight tb..... when i got her she was quite thin and through the summer shes put on weight and kept it on nicely through the winter. She has been on box rest recently due to a kick in the field :( but now bringing back into light work.

I have been turning her out on her own and where she runs around like a loopy madam she gets soaking.

So what clip would you recomend if any?

suggestions welcome

No showing no, just light hacking & schooling etc he had a chiped tibia so not doing much with her

Pretty much all over when shes wound up like a top in the field

When riding just belly, under saddle, bridle areas, neck and slightly on her flank.

You could either do a blanket/high trace clip or you could be extreme and give her a full clip although you will obvoiiusly have to rug accordingly if she has either clip. Sounds like a blanket would suffice for riding and taking all that off will probably prevent her dripping in the field.

I was thinking the full clip, also because when i had her her coat wasnt great and its grown at funny lengths, so been thinking take it all off and have a nice fresh coat come back through.. she was scabby and also had weatherbeet etc :( shes an ex race so wasnt in "loved condition" if that makes sense

i have plenty of rugs to keep her nice and cosy :)

In that case i would probably just go with all off and rug accordingly although it is now warming up slowly so you wont need to rug like its middle of winter just judge her for how she feels and looks. not toast but warm!!

Think I will go for it! hopefully if shes truts me enough by now she will let me do her face too! fingers crossed! :)
