I have a friend that breed her very dark bay mare to a buckskin Connemara stallion. What color foal would my friend get. I personally think she will get bay foal because isn’t bay more dominant than a buckskin.

Bay isn't a gene so can't be more dominant. A bay horse has at least one dominant extension (E) and a copy of agouti(A), a buckskin has the same but with an additional cream gene. It depends on whether the parents are homo (two copies) or heterozygous (one copy) for E and A as to what you could get.
As they are unknown these are your options. If the stallion has had red based or black babies it might help narrow the options. Screenshot_20211201-091818~2.png

As cloball says it 50 chance with buckskin or bay. it’s really depends on what color foal takes after. I have a instructor when I was younger who breed buckskin foals a lot of the time horses came out light bay . Buckskin can be a hard color to achieve.

Cloball says it all there. If you can trace any previous offspring / parents it will help you knowing the chance of them being homozygous /heterozygous for black and agouti.

The chance of buckskin or another dilute is 50% depending on whether the creme gene is passed on, nothing more complex than that. If they are carrying sooty genes it may sometimes be possible to mistake one for the other at first sight.
