Hat bands work really well I drive on a lot on country roads and you can see them above the hedges before you see the horse or rider.

Orange exercise sheet, orange hi vis, red lights on his backside (yellow tail streamer), I have a yellow jogging reflector with red lights on the back and white on the front. Red back light on helmet and white light on front aimed down at horsey, yellow neck band with ominous green glowy lights on both ponies, clear flashy dog collar on their heads as well (can’t find a noseband or browband cover to fit his giant head..) Baby had the yellow tail streamer when we ride and lead, his own red tail light 🤭 it’s an arm band round their tails lol as well as a yellow neck band that glows an ominous green. I also buy a flashing red light on my outer stirrup and arm. I wear two head torches if I ride in the dark, one goes down at the horses the other forwards and I turn it off if a car sees me do i don’t blind them.

Last year I scared the ever living poop out of an early morning jogger. He said he couldn’t work out what we were as we came over the hill. He thought jogger. Then cyclist and then he said I thought god that’s huge, and nearly ran the other way. My horse is over 18hh+ and the locals laugh and say we are our own personal rave 😜 but no one can ever say they didn’t see us. I ride with everything but the head torched and head lights in the day as well. And tell people off for lack of hi viz. (especially the trend of wearing the silver reflector only jackets in the day time!! They only work when headlights are on and need to be accompanied with lights/brights in daylight conditions! It’s a hill I will die on. It’s basically camouflage in daylight/roads marketed as the best/safest!)
