Mine is black, after owning 2 greys, even though they have been the best natured horses, I would never have one again... the hours spent cleaning just to have them roll in poo, it's a never ending cycle!
I couldn't bear to have a grey horse I think I'd cry seeing it stained every morning! I mostly ride ginger boys but one of them is bay. Dark bay is my fave colour I think followed by liver chestnut
I seem to (accidentally) have a thing for greys at the moment. I have had a bay and a chestnut, then another two bays, a chestnut, my first grey, then my second, third and fourth greys! The two I currently "have" now (one my own and one share horse) are the second and fourth greys. Both are very very mucky beasties. Darn, I also seem to be looking at a lot more adverts for pretty grey ponies which does not bode well for me starting horsey shopping soon!
Chestnut seems to be the most common colour around here. Lots of QH's.
Loads of bays - trotters
Blacks - Percherons
Palominos everywhere but that's a QH thing too.
I can not think of a single grey in my area!
In the UK, it always seemed to be chestnut, bay and, yes, greys that were most common.
Chestnut. Have owned a spotted, a bay, a black, a liver chestnut & a chestnut miniature gelding before she came along. Two of the slightly more unusual colours in there!
My little mare is a beautiful, glossy dark bay and my big lug of a gelding is bright orange chestnut!
My old pony was a gorgeous grey. When he was clean, he sparkled. Unfortunately, that wasn't very often - he usually had nice, green hocks and muddy stains elsewhere!
