Not sure what green and white coloured ponies with yellow manes are called. Also looks to be a bit spotty. So some form of green-roan poobald with spots....

She actually looks like she's grinning in that last pic. Very pleased with herself. Good thing we love her :D

Why is it always the grey horses that do this?! It must be genetically linked to the colour :p ..mines the same, as soon as I let him off he rolls, preferably in the yellow brickies sand. My husband calls him "Big Bird".. Meanwhile his bay is always pristine..

Trying to return to their birth colour ??

I agree! Now we have a little black Shetland and he hardly ever lies in poo in his stable (and he doesn’t even wear pjs like the grey one does!) I think the grey one is just a lost cause ?

I think this thread should be deleted- my normally very clean grey Connie NEVER rolls/lies in poo or proper mud (just dirt, dryish mud or clean bedding, I think he has equine OCD or is just massively vain) was sporting a large greeny poo patch over most of his right side when I got to him last night (suspiciously similar to that seen in the OPs picture). As he has never done this before I am pretty sure that he must have been on here and seen the pictures, and now wants to pretend he's a fancy poobald or appooloosa. Can we please remember that impressionable horses may read this thread, so refrain from making these niche coat colours 'cool' to avoid mass imitation.

I blame you all for leading my previously fairly clean pony astray...

I like the idea of poobald! It isn't just greys, the other week my strawberry roan mare coated herself in so much mud you couldn't tell what colour her mane was... They do look smug and pleased with themselves when they've coated themselves in mud, don't they?
