Light colours like baby blue, baby pink, lilac, turquoise, grey, or even white. I would think light blue would suit him best as he is a boy as well?

For a gelding, light blue or navy perhaps? Or how about something a little different such as denim blue, that would be gorgeous I reckon!
Thermatex for example, do some lovely colours (inc. denim blue) to give you an idea & you can mix & match the bindings!

erm ... well generally navy and black go with any colour horse so you can't go wrong there

... but also burgundy, dark green, light blue or mint green would look nice.

I'm a black and white girl. A nice black cloth or a simple crisp white is so understated. Don't do colours!
