What colour shirt and tie?

Last year I did my first show season with my pony. I hashed together a decent outfit and made do.

This year I have 2 ponies to show, so decided to splash out on some new show gear. Problem I am having is deciding on the colour of my shirt and tie.

It is a local show, and I will mainly be doing in hand (M&M, young stock and coloured) the odd ridden class as above and I might have a go at a beginners working hunter.

This is my jacket and I have a navy velvet show hat too. Any ideas on the colour of my shirt and tie? I bought a turquoise tie to match the stripes, but it looks terrible!

How about a darker blue tie, or navy which always looks smart especially if your hat is navy blue.

For me the shirt would be either white or pale blue.

Oh I saw that one when I was trying tweeds for my son, I love the turquoise. Have you tried a darker turquouse or peacock blue? The horizontal stripe is darker blue isn't it? Or you could go moss/olive green. I'm developing an obsessive love of tweeds and matching colours!

I reckon that would look great, you can get the spotted ties on eBay OP and the gold would bring out the piping on the collar

I soaked a white shirt in cheap yellow dusters came out a lovely lemon colour.

Me too - exactly the same! Although I swap my lemon shirt for a pale blue one occasionally if doing in hand and wearing white trousers tucked into tall boots
