What colour show gear do people wear for riding club classes? I am
looking for a new show jacket for wearin for dressage and showjumping. Don't really do showing though maybe trying working hunter and veteran classes this year.
Currently wear cream jodhpurs and navy jacket but not sure if should have black jacket or White jods?
Interested in other peoples show gear and some picures would be great x

If you want to do workers classes you'll need a tweed

I'm quite classical and have one of each a Navy Jacket and a a dark green tweed a good one should last you a loooonnng time :-)

Riding Club, Workers and Veterans will need a tweed jacket.

I have a dark green tweed, and a navy jacket as well - worn with beige breeches.

(Black jacket/white breeches scream 'dressage')

Navy for ladies IMO for dressage and *whispers* SJ. With a cream/ivory stock for Dressage, maybe also for SJ
Tweed for WH / RC. With a collar and tie! Stocks have no place in the show ring (unless in Evening performances).

PS at the risk of sounding a complete old fogey PLLLLLLEEEEAASSE - long hair in a bun, with nets and no loose bits. NOT ponytails, with or without hairnets. *rant over* :)

It used to be "technically" correct to wear tweed for riding club. Definitely correct for workers and fine for veterans.
So my advice would be to go for a tweed and cream breeches - then you can't go wrong.
I do happen to have a very nice almost new Alexander James tweed for sale (to fit size 12) ...

Agreed

lol you'll get shouted at for this :-) .... however I will add mine is an Alexander James one and I have had it 6 years ! Love it green tweed with a mustard and navy check and a navy velvet collar (in a 12 too ha ha)

PS nothing wrong with wearing your navy jacket with white jods and a stock for sressage beige in the show ring

If some one said to me I am going to get 1 jacket I would say a tweed is the most multi functionl ...... just not as bling as some folk would like

pps ditto the hairnet thing ALWAYS!
