What colour tack on black horse?

Looking at a dressage saddle for my black horse ..... what colour do you think ? (it’s going to be new so my choice). I guess we will do some very low level showing and dressage.

I prefer brown. Both my current horses are black and the brown definitely makes them look blacker. It's also more correct for showing.

I really like dark brown on my black mare.

I always used brown on my black mare. I don't really like black tack.

London tan is the best colour imho. It looks really good on black or white horses but is particularly striking on black.

I prefer brown tack on pretty much everything but it's worth considering that black dressage saddles sell better than brown secondhand.

I have all black tack on my black horse, i think it looks really sharp and clean with her colouring especially for dressage x

I have black on my mare who is black in winter and very dk bay in summer. Most people I know who do dressage use black tack although I know brown is traditional for showing, at a low level I think Black is fine. One of my friends qualified her horse for SEIB HOYs showing class and used black tack!

i used brown on my black horse because most tack was brown then, it seems that most tack is now black and i ended up with black tack for my loan horse as couldnt find brown in what i wanted so i think you would be better getting black as it would sell easier..

I like brown tack, but my very black horse looked awful in Havana and very smart in black.

Havana for me. I had London tan on my grey and would definitely have used this on M had the saddle fit!! I love the tan, but quite difficult to find and match too in my experience.

I always had black tack, i thought it looked better on my greys and then black pony.

I also did showing at affiliated level with my black tack and was still successful.

Black tack on my jet black Friesian (some duelling pistols, a bandit mask, a big black cloak and I could take up highway robbery .....).

I like black on black unless in the show ring then brown all the way

Dark brown tack, or Stubben Havanna which is very dark brown. Sorry Chinchilla I think London Tan looks awful on any horse.
