So i've been doing a few local level shows with my dark bay cob i've been borrowing a friends navy tweed which has red over check and looks really nice but i know navy is seen as incorrect:eek: . I'm looking to buy my own and although i really like the navy jacket i don't want to spend money on something that people will think I'm dressed wrong in. i have other horses which i would be showing too so what colour tweed would people suggest for a dark bay hw cob and a light grey ID I'm only going to be doing local level showing as this is all new to me :D

I know it is mainly personal preference, but I think that jacket is too 'loud'. The idea is to show the horse off, not distract the judges eye to the riders jacket :) Agree with green or a darker brown. The blue being incorrect is much more fashion than actually correct, (blue dye used to be cheaper, so it was a bit infra-dig). It is difficult to find a tweed that works with both bay and grey though, so good luck with the search. :)

Thank you for your opinion YorksG I'm thinking of mainly showing the grey more than my bay what colour tweed would you think would be better suited to a light grey?:)

I personally think dark green looks good on anything.
I had that tweed, it's lovely and perfect for ponies but not for horse classes. It's not as bright and in your face as it looks in those photos
