What colour will foal trun out

My mare had her foal on Tuesday at 6am. She is grey and dad is dark bay. She has bred a lovely black filly with two white socks and a star. Her legs above the socks are grey though-so will she be grey or end up bay? picture will be posted this evening if I can tear myself away from her!
 
does she have grey goggles around her eyes?

If so she'll go grey. If not she could stay black.

Bay is unlikely as bay foals tend to be born bay but with lighter coloured legs...
 
well you see this is what has thrown me no grey around eyes yet but legs are a grey/brown colour, so is the greying from the bottom up or will she stay?? very odd!i looked between the hairs on her coat and the skin looks white not black-does that make a difference?i thought greys tend to have black skin and bays not!I shall post some pictures tonight, thankyou for your input!
 
black horses tend to be born with a silvery tinge (to varying degrees) in their coat - especially noticable on the legs.

Bays tend to have dark skin it think...

pics definately required please!
 
To me it sounds like she could stay black, as from my experience (which is limited) foals born with darker legs go grey! My filly (out of a grey by a dark bay) was chestnut with light chestnut legs, and she has stayed chestnut, but I also know of someone else with a colt whose legs were very dark chestnut (no goggles) and he has greyed out!
