If he's one of those miniature jobs, probably a purple sparkle dun roan (recessive)

If he's a normal pony, a dark liver chestnut.

Useless at colours - maybe mouse dun (can't really see if he has any other dun features) or smoky black (because of the lighter ends on his mane mostly). The second picture makes him look more liver chestnut though.

But i think he is a Grullo, cant see his spine properly though to say for sure.
