I only quickly checked the tail female line of Heartbreaker, from Uppercut's ancestors backwards in history. I'm sure if we were to check each individual bloodline then there will be other TBs who are throw-backs to unusually coloured TBs. These colours can often skip generations and in many cases the genetic colouring can be missed completely. Because of the limits on colour standards within the TB registry, many horses were registered incorrectly so unless you know the actual horses names who were throwers of colour, you could be misled to thinking that because they are historically registered as bay or chestnut that they are solid bays and chestnuts, this often was not the case. Going back to the tail female line, there are many colour-producers in there so as said previously, it is no surprise to see their names in this horses pedigree.Query though if he is by the nimmerdor 'heartbreaker' who is bay... where does the colour come from?
