Want to start kitting out my young lad with coloured accessories but don't know what colour to go for, I was thinking maybe olive green??? What does everyone else use? Want to make him look even more beautiful!
Best thing about piebalds - you can't really go wrong on colour Having said that, I've had a few comments of how good mine looks in royal / bright blue.
Murphy's a dark skewbald, getting darker with age, he was always dark blue and purple! Though as an old man, I bought him a padded black leather headcollar as a thanks for all he has done for me over the years! Looks smart when it's not covered in feed.
My piebald lad had variations on blue - generally navy for everyday (hides the dirt better!), with royal blue looking particularly pretty on him. He also had a light blue Mark Todd saddlecloth with royal and gold piping - still my favourite! I found the lighter colours looked better in the summer, as he went quite grey when he was clipped...
My mare is a very dark skewbald, so I think it;d apply to piebalds too. I've got a blue/teal coloured numnah that looks really good on her (when it's clean!) But greens sound like they could be good, especially bottle green!!
