Roly my 2YO terrier is really sheepish this AM, he's been to the loo - not really up to food, but very stiff walking around. He's also cried a few times randomly and laid down. His belly and muscles feel very stiff, but when he wants to he is jumping around.

I've tested him for dehydration (can't test his bloody gums because they are black and not pink like Im used to) and felt him all over - no broken bones or wounds. Eyed bright, nose wet, coat flat - LOOKS perfectly fine on the outside.

The only thing I can think is he was bonking all night last night - could he have done himself a mischeif?

If he's not better by this evening we're off down the vets, but thoughts anyone?

What was he bonking, thin air or a bitch?

He could well have strained himself, at the risk of being too graphic is everything back where it should be?

It does sound like he has strained something, but to be honest I would take him by the vet to make sure. He might need some pain relief or antiinflammatories either way.

Hope he feels better soon!

If he has been "at it" all night, the symptoms suggest a possible hernia? This would account for intermittent pain as well as digestive problems. Just a possibility though!
