Yip, definitely Riding Club horse

if you can find someone capable and young or older then you could do 'family horse' which usually means parent and child or brother/sister can ride it. You'd both ride him and do a show to show him working for both of you.
Novice working hunter/working hunter?

he's 15.1hh JUST. so a funny size really. its something i wanted to do last year alonmg those line but didnt have the nerve or bottle as i didnt know enough about it and the critque for the classes

Riding club horse you do an individual show and pop a small jump. You just have to show that he can go round well in an outline, maybe if he can lengthen his strides and pop a fence with some form of style! (ie not running out, cat-leaping or refusing!)
Also manners are v. important in showing!

Novice Working hunter would be small fences to about 2ft3 or so and an individual show with a a gallop- you need to push on at a hunting pace between some fences- hence working hunter!
As far as I know/remember you are marked on working hunter in three parts- faults over the fences, paces/way of going in the show and then conformation. (I think, I can't remember!) A good idea is to go out and steward at these shows and then you learn a lot! Offer your help to the organising committee and ask to be a steward in whichever ring interests you- so if you want to know more about WH you be the steward for the judge- then you learn what they are looking for etc! very useful!!

thank you!abit thick when it comes to all of this! theres a local show that doesnt working hunter etc so might try this year to get him back into the show grounds again

How old are you? If he is only 15.1 and has a fair pop, then you could do affiliated workers depending on your age. And as he is a pony, you won't have a judge riding (which sounds like a good idea based on some of your other posts!)

*Coughs and batters Flintus over the head!*
I'm 27 and I do that class!

i think the penny dropped- i don't do it affiliated and i think you have you be younger than me to do so

Nope - you can do intermediates until you are 25 (not to have reached 25th birthday before first of january of the current year), so you are EXACTLY the right age. Intermediate workers are for horses 15.2 and under. You would need a height certifictae though if you are doing affiliated.
With the BSPS you would be expected to jump between 90cm and 1m for novice, 95cm and 1.05m for restricted and 1.00-1.15 for open classes.

From the sound of it, I think he is better not letting the jude ride if at all possible!

if at all possible that would be the best thing! If your a novice he doesnt seem to mind, when you get on and know how to ride then you have a couple of issues but we are working on them (nd have been for 3 years!!!)
