My lovely little horse has changed over the last few months.

He's become increasingly uncomfortable to shoe behind. Last time he was done I gave him danilon in the morning and he was much better.

He's also become very spooky, a bit nappy and more recently we've had a bucking fit. He does the odd one when excited (rarely) but this was quite an extreme reaction, which is very unlike him. I've ridden him before when he's had months off and he's always been as good as gold.

Saddle checked. Teeth done. Back done.

Discomfort was found in his back behind the saddle area. I may get saddle re checked as I have seen sweat marks which suggest it is bridging slightly.

Vet came today and he trots up fine in a straight line on the road. Flexion tests on both hinds fine.

However, slightly lame behind when lunged on a tight circle on the soft grass.

He had x rays on front feet last year and all good there apart from some side bone.

Obviously he has discomfort somewhere as the danilon helped him.

Off for a full work up next week, but wondered what may be found?

Hello
Does he live in a footpath field by any chance?
Maybe kids are messing around with him while ur gone?
OR it could be something o do with pulled muscles or something?
Hope this helped :)

He's kept well away from the road and any footpaths. Also he's wary of people he doesn't know. I'm not sure anyone strange would get near him. Plus they'd have the other 2 "over friendly" horses on their case lol.
