What crafty habbit does your horse have?

"pretends" to sneaze in order to rip the reins from my hands.

As soon as I get on top of the mounting clock she'll take the smallest little step away, but just enough whereby it's too far to get on so I have to get off and start all over again :rolleyes:.

That's clever spanish horses for you ;)

Opens her field gate and lets her field mates out, resorted to having a second gate put on, she lets herself out, then goes back in once she realises she can't undo the much harder 2nd gate  when new people come on the yard I have to warn them that if they do not close the 2nd gate, their Horses will get out as mine just loves to let them out

Unties herself

Throws her bowls at people and meal times if she has already eaten hers. We have the rule that first up feeds all, by the time the 7 Horses are fed (mine is usually first) she has lobbed her empty bowl back out at you (or whoever is feeding)

Unhooks her headcollar and holds it in her mouth to let you know she wants out.

Pretends to itch her leg on a hack, then just eats the grass (muggins here falls for it everytime)

My boy does the old "I'm just scratching my leg, honest!" Then pops back up with a mouth full of grass...
He's also recently taught himself how to untie his leadrope, although he then just stands there like a wally as he doesn't really know what to do next lol.
He likes to bury his poo in his banks, so you enter a stable which looks lovely, until you dig the banks out and there's just poo everywhere -_-
All adds to his character though :) even if he is a stubborn, grumpy old man 99% of the time...

Mine use their feet to paw the leaves of thistles upwards until all the spikes point inwards, at which point they can be eaten without prickling the mouth.

Also stick their whole head underwater to get the weed from the bottom of the river, which they think is quite tasty!

When you are not looking he can untie himself, and wanders off, obviously in search of someone who will use pony nuts to catch him. He later found out that it was usually easier and faster just to pull back on the twine, again if you are out of sight.
If left in a track or in the arena on his own, he will just push the gate open in order to move somewhere there is nice lush grass.
Obviously knows this is naughty, as he never does it when you are there, it is even more fun now he is barefoot, as he can tiptoe past when i am in the barn mucking out.
His brother can move fields by stepping on the lower wire [plain wire] of the fence, and pushing his head and body under the top wire, I have seen my boy watching this procedure, but he has not copied it yet!
