What D to D measure to what inch measurement?

What are the measurements (incheces) for

Narrow-
Narrow-medium-
Medium-
Medium-wide-
Wide-
extra wide

There are no set measurements. A wide in one make is not necessarily the same as a wide in another make. D to D is also a cr*p measurement! Thats becase the D rings of one saddle may be fixed higher or lower than the D rings on a different saddle. The panel depth can vary hugely too. So that measurement is as much use as a chocolate teapot.

i was always told that medium wide was about 9 inch d to d. x

i also though 7 inch was narrow

I have 2 wide pony saddles but only one fits the pony- the other is miles and miles too narrow. They are the same brand even- I really wouldn't trust the ebay type measuring system d to d different saddles just vary too much.
