Yep its that time again folks, bought a jumping saddle for Py, only problem is, the seat is a very slippery one and every time I ride in it my bottom seems to buff it it up that little bit more!

so sticky bum jods will be needed, only problem is, I've never had a pair but now I can see why people buy them now, some how I don't think I'll manage to pick up any up in time for this evening so any tips on how to get rid of a super shiny slippy seat? any leather products you can apply?

Any suggestions welcome

Perhaps use a seat saver? You can get synthetic sheep skin style ones that aren't too thick, or the suede ones like the Enlightened Equitation/Heather Moffat style ones. Maybe some-one has one you could borrow?

We are already at the top on the naff scale, so a seat saver won't make any difference to that lol.

hmm I shall give them a ring and see if they will keep open till 5:10, how much are they roughly?...its all spend spend spend at the moment

Isn't there some sort of spray you can get to put on the saddle? Sure I've heard of something, but can't remember what its called, maybe 'Sticky Bum'??

Either that or I've been having particularly vivid dreams lately

Well that was what I was wondering actually if there was some kind of leather friendly spray that people use perhaps?

perhaps I was having those vivid dreams as well !

morrighan you are genius, just googled it and came up with Pharmaka Sporty Sit-Tite Spray, I shall keep my eyes peeled for some at Burghley no doubt they might sell it there on one of the stalls.

Thank you
