Took Moomin6 and my horse to a local hunter trial, first time for both of them , but they were placed at 8th
..which made a very wet and miserable day all worth while, although I think she was on enough of a high about just getting round and over all the jumps
I went SJ on saturday, had dressage lesson on sunday and did some writing for the judge at affiliated dressage yesterday. In all had quite a good weekend
Well we went to a small local charity show where my son who is 2 yrs old got 3rd in lead rein
and my eldest whos 6 got 3rd in games and drew 4th in junior jumping . Got abit of a soaking later on that day but glad it stayed dry for their classes .
Had a lovely schooling session with Chloe on Sat and jumped Meg round a small course.
Hacked out sunday and monday as my mum has to get fit enough to hack 7 miles (each-way) so I can do some dressage in a fortnight
Satuday - Donkey loaded first time and we went off to the woods for a play - she loves following hubby on his mountain bike, jumped a small log and ate burgers while she grazed! Did not want to load for me coming home, so hubby took over - she went straight in for him - he's calling himself Monty these days
Sunday - had a lesson in driving rain - perfect half pass across the school, unasked for!!!!!!!!! Have managed to work out my personal show peice
Monday - was supposed to go to a show, but how could I wash my beloved Donkey in cold water in this weather and then stand around in a field freezing? So I spent the day sealing bathroom tiles instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
went to BSPS Lancs champs on saturday at myerscough 2nd in RHIS PBA class lost by 2 points but got cherif qualifier, out on Monday NPS 5 at myerscough, 2nd HOYS qualifier for SHP very strong class of 21, very fed up when looked at mark sheet, 1 point from 1st, not to worry we will carry on chasing.
Lola was brilliant, especially considering that she's 16 now, has spent her entire adult life producing foals and has only had (so I was told) 30 days training. Just popped a bridle on and hopped on (she has a bony back
), Bless her, she really doesn't have much of a clue, but was so good, so I think I will be making a real effort with her this summer.
Took my daughter and her pony to their first show! Was very cold but they had a great time and came home with a red ribbon.(Pics in gallery). Only trouble now is that she has caught the bug and wants to go again!!
